An answer from the internet about our market
A general model will tell you something plausible about commerce buyers. It has never met ours. Ask only reads what we recorded.
Answers from our own records, with the citations checked.
Ask Growth Kit reads this project's records and nothing else. It lists the records that matched your words and says which word matched in which field, then writes an answer and checks every citation against the records it was actually given. A reference to anything else is dropped and reported.

Captures of Growth-OS itself, rendered with sample data rather than our own records.

From an empty record to something you can act on, in the order you do it.
Ask in your own words
The question is split into words, the most common ones are dropped, and the rarer ones are weighted.
Records are scored by where the words hit
Title first, then owner, then summary, then the declared field. Presence counts once per field.
Bounded values go to the model as data
Each field is cut to a fixed length, and the records travel as evidence rather than as instruction.
Read the count line
Cited, matched, searched. Two of three matched out of forty searched is a different claim from two of three out of thirty.
What goes wrong when this work lives in spreadsheets, documents and one person's memory.
A general model will tell you something plausible about commerce buyers. It has never met ours. Ask only reads what we recorded.
A confident reference to a record that does not exist is worse than no reference at all. This one is checked before you read it.
Recorded text is quoted material, not a command. A sentence in a transcript telling the model to ignore its rules is treated as data.
Highlights
The matching records, and which of your words hit which field, are shown even when no answer is written. You can read the sources without the summary.
Anything the answer cites that was not in the supplied set is removed and counted. When no citation survives, the answer is marked unverified.
Nothing matched, no generation provider configured, or a reply out of shape. Each is a different sentence, not one blank page.
Honest limits
Matching is by words, not by meaning. A question about churn will not find a record that only says cancelled, and only the first part of a long field is scanned.
Ask writes nothing. No record is created or changed, and the answer itself is not stored.
These pages share records with this one, so what you write here shows up there.
